The Club's statiticians have kept meticulous records since its inception. This enabled the Committee to commence an initiative in 2005 to provide each Bentley player with their own unique number.

The numbering system continues sequentially with the debut of each new player. Where 2 players debut on the same day, the player debuting in a higher grade is given the next available number. Where 2 players debut in the same side, the lower number is allocated on an alphabetical basis.
